A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Waltham, MA. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY), providing essential support to students with speech and language needs within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in elementary-aged students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain compliance with school policies and regulations
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Strong knowledge of typical and atypical speech and language development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and educators
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently
